Wise Birds Network is a consultancy for sustainablity, RSE/CSR and fashion enterprise. Our holistic approach considers the ecosystem of market growth, profitability and sustainability together. We are based in Western France & London.  

 

We support Small Enterprises in fashion & textiles to grow a sustainable business & brand putting CSR & ethics at the centre. Our network is made up of highly experienced consultants, each an expert in their own field -  from creative direction to finance and business planning, CSR, sustainable sourcing and marketing. All are experienced coaches & we are committed to giving honest advice and a clear diagnosis informed by fashion & creative sector knowledge.

Our international experience and networks range from multinationals to creative micros, community or family enterprises and non profits. We work with EU, UN, enterprise agencies and directly with small businesses.

We give informed and pragmatic advice, from product management, business and brand architecture, social and  sales strategy and sustainable sourcing, legal and financial planning.

Wise Birds Network is a delivery partner to several  organisations supporting business consolidation  and market development, in a local and international context, including European Regional Development Fund and UN  She Trades Initiative, supporting women owned businesses globally . We also partner and work directly with small small enterprises - both within business to business value chains, and  brands connecting  directly to consumers.

Mo Tomaney

Founder and Director

Mo worked as a designer across the globalised fashion industry from well known brands to micro enterprises, often owned by inspiring women. She knows the value chains and systems from cottonfield or factory, to catwalk and store. She cares about the impact made by the creation of the stuff we cherish.  Mo founded Wise Birds Network to help enable the many small businesses contained within value chains to be sustainable in every sense of the word. Mo loves connecting skills and talent to markets. Alongside her work with Wise Birds Network she advises on policy in the sector, lectures and enterprise and sustainability in fashion, lifestyle and jewellery. She is also is a textile designer.

Peter Allen ACA

Senior Consultant, Financial Strategy
and Planning

Peter is Wise Birds Networks' financial magician. He approaches the finance needs of creatives with pragmatism and clarity of communication that right-brainers appreciate. As Financial Director of London Graphic Centre for 24 years, Peter played a significant role in seeing the company grow from £8m to £24m, from a single brand to 4 independent brands. Working with the cross skill WBN Consultancy Constellations model, he has supported clients to develop convincing financial plans to secure funding or achieve merger or growth targets. Peter holds a BA (Econ), Accounting & Finance from The University of Manchester & ACA accreditation.

Jill Tattersall

Colour & Trend;
Youth Engagement

A hands on educator, designer & practitioner, Jill has delivered workshops on colour and branding in Europe and the UK. Her work embraces a range of visual arts & skills including textiles, installation & graphics and she now produces her individually hand crafted ceramics. Through her work in community & further education she has encouraged many young people to engage with creative pursuits, inspiring many to follow art & design careers.

 

Daphne Kasambala

Business & Retail Development

An  entrepreneur working with start-ups,  SMEs & corporates across retail, e-commerce, tech & manufacturing. Daphne is the founder of  Meekono,  a technology company & for-profit social enterprise connecting wholesalers of quality African inspired handcrafted & value-added natural products with commercial buyers worldwide. She is a former senior banking & finance professional with experience gained with major finance institutions in Europe & Africa.
